Inspiring Keynote Address
The Assembly commenced with DGE Bobby Hildreth outlining his plans to champion the key focus areas identified by RIPE Stephanie Urchick for the 2024-2025 Rotary year. The event culminated with a captivating keynote address by Luara Hope Whitaker, founder of Extra Special People (ESP).
DGE Bobby Hildreth was deeply moved by Laura's message. He remarked,
"Laura Whitaker's presentation offered a powerful reminder of the importance of serving those with special needs. Her heartwarming message, coupled with her playful challenge for the audience to embrace each other, underscored the profound impact of human connection."
Laura's personal narrative interwoven with the mission of ESP prompted the audience to reflect on their own biases and how to foster meaningful connections with individuals from diverse backgrounds. As DGE Bobby aptly noted, "Laura's message resonated with a core focus for our upcoming Rotary year – recognizing and valuing the unique contributions of every individual."
